Last month
I sent a note requesting just one ornament from anyone who
could donate to Hannah and her family. To say I got a great
response would be putting it mildly. I got an absolutely,
positively amazing response from many generous and thoughtful
people.
I wanted to take
this opportunity to share a picture of Hannah with her tree full of ornaments
that were donated from all parts of this city and beyond.
Hannah's tree has store bought ornaments, hand made ornaments, big
ornaments, small ornaments and family heirloom ornaments.
Hannah has been
in Cincinnati since the end of July as a patient
at Cincinnati Children's Hospital. She and her mother
Kelly have been away from their family and friends while
Hannah goes through her treatments for Hemophagocytosis
Lymphohistiocytosis, also known as HLH. It is a rare condition of the
immune system and if not treated properly, is often fatal.
Their family is
coming to Cincinnati from Florida to spend Christmas together
and this very special tree will help them enjoy this special
holiday season.
My thanks
goes out to all of you who took the time and effort to donate an
ornament and in the process gave me the opportunity to share the
holiday spirit with this amazing family.
Happy Holidays
to All!
